LUCIUS CAESIUS, (112-111 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (2.60 g), obv. youthful bust of Vejovis to left, viewed from behind, hurling thunderbolt, [ROMA] monogram behind, rev. the two Lares seated right, dog between them, monograms [LA] to left [RE] to right, [L CAESI] in the exergue, head of Vulcan and tongs above, Vulcan head above, (S.175, B.Caesia 1, Cr.298/1, Syd.564). Toned, porous field, otherwise very fine and very scarce.
