QUEEN'S SOUTH AFRICA MEDAL 1899, (type 3 reverse), - three clasps - Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal. 1466 Pte C. A. Lindau. Victorian M.R. Impressed. Court mounted, contact marks, edge nicks and some pitting, otherwise very fine.

Together with VMR brass shoulder title.
Ex Sid Thurgar Collection, previously Noble Numismatics Sale 117 (lot 5102) and Conglomerate Coins & Medals in 1984.
Charles Alexander Lindau (recorded as Lindan) confirmed as a Private with 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles Contingent. Charles Alexander Lindau, Boer War veteran, died suddenly on 19 June 1951 at Mt Hawthorn, W. Aust.
