THESSALY, Magnetes, (mid 2nd-mid 1st centuries B.C.), AE trichalkon, 20mm, (8.12 g), obv. laureate head of Zeus right, rev. **MAGNHTWN*, the centaur Chiron advancing to right, holding branch, star below, (S.2138, Rogers 339, cf.BCD Thessaly I 1184, BCD Thessaly II 420.4, HGC 4, 66). Very fine with dark red-brown patina.

Ex BCD Collection with his ticket, acquired in January 1997, sold in CNG eSale 381, August 24, 2016, (Lot 118).
