U.D.F.B.A. (United District's Fire Brigades' Association), prize fob, in voided gold (9ct, 10.91g, 34x33mm), by A.T. (Anton Teutenberg, Auckland), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'U.D.F./B.A./8-4-12/Five Men Coil/Won By/Foreman F.Brown/Dannevirke/Team' (D&C.S6). Extremely fine.

The first bi-annual demonstration held under the auspices of the newly organised United District's Fire Brigades' Association was continued on the Domain on 8 April 1912. The teams present were representative of all the principal brigades in the central district of the North Island, Palmerston and Fielding being the leading exceptions. The Hose, Hydrant and Union event (or Five Men Coil) was won by the Dannevirke team of McMillan, Brown, O'Brien, Kelly and Howe, with Wanganui second and Spit third. Also competed in the event, in order of finishing, were Masterton F.P., Napier Railway, Carterton, Martinborough, Napier City, Masterton, Marton and Waipukurau.
