JOHN MCDONALD, Mayor of Dunedin, 1908-1909, gold ring (18ct, tot wt 9.94g), by Williamson (T.P.Williamson, Dunedin), the top fitted with black onyx in which is impressed in reverse the crest of the Municipality of Dunedin, NZ, on the inside of the band is inscribed 'Presented by the Members of the City Council.' Some traces of wax on top of the ring where it has been used to make an impression into wax, otherwise very fine.
