STERLING SILVER PRIZE CUP, "The Coldstream Lodge Cup", hallmarked for Sheffield, 1912, by maker 'W&H' (Walker and Hall), loving cup shape with two handles, on a rounded pedestal timber stand, engraved inscription 'The "Coldstream Lodge" Cup/Presented/To/Westland Trotting Club/By/Mr & Mrs R.O.Duncan/Jan.1914.', (770g weight excluding timber base). A few dents at base where it sits on stand, otherwise extremely fine.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 131 (lot 286).^^Coldstream Lodge was a successful trotting horse stud farm at Fendalton, Christchurch.^^The Westland Trotting Club New Zealand continued racing until 1935.
