FAUSTINA JUNIOR, wife of Marcus Aurelius, (d.A.D. 175), silver denarius, issued 161-175, Rome Mint, (3.04 g), obv. FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, Faustina draped bust to right, rev. VENVS, Venus standing to left, holding sceptre and apple, (cf.S.5266, RSC 249, RIC 728, BMC 166). Toned, good very fine.
Ex Dr V.J.A.Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics with their ticket coming from the collection of Barry Allen Jones with another ticket from M.R. Roberts.
