SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 232, Rome Mint, (3.43 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped, around IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, rev. SPES PV BLICA, Spes standing to left, holding flower and raising skirt, (S.7927, RIC 254, RSC 546). Bright, full flan, as struck, extremely fine, with some mint bloom, scarce type and rare in this condition.
