CONVICT LOVE TOKEN, engraved on a 1797 cartwheel penny shaved smooth on the reverse, on this side is engraved, "Dear Friend/(heart with two arrows through it)/take this as a token/of love and Gratitude/from your ever well/wisher/Sarah Phillips/(star)/Love the Giver/(with a band of leaves around the bottom)". Good fine.

There were five convicts named Sarah Phillips arriving in NSW in February 1809, in NSW on 7 September 1822, in NSW on 3 June 1823, in Van Diemen's Land on 3 November 1829 and in Van Diemen's Land on 1 October 1838. With photo of token and list of convicts named Sarah Phillips.
