CONVICT LOVE TOKEN, engraved on a 1797 cartwheel penny shaved smooth on both sides, one side is floral decorated and on the other side is engraved, "Maria Harvey/when/this you see,/remember me and/hear me in your/mind, let all the/world say what/they will speak/of me as you/Find". Very fine.
Maria Harvey, aged 23, servant, sentenced to life in the colonies for theft pocket picking. She arrived at Sydney, NSW on 6 June 1821. With research.
