CONVICT LOVE TOKEN, engraved on a 1797 cartwheel penny with both sides shaved smooth, holed at the top, on one side is stipple engraved, "Sands/Lees 29/July 1819/Notts", and on the other side, "1819/(crossed hearts with arrows through them)/7 Years". A few dents on one side, otherwise good.
Sands Lees, aged 23, butcher, sentenced to 7 years in the colonies for house robbery. Arrived in NSW on 7 August 1820. With research.
