CONVICT LOVE TOKEN, engraved on a 1797 cartwheel penny shaved smooth on both sides, on one side is engraved, "W.Jerram/Conv 10 Jul/1826 leics" and on the other side, "liken/the divine/pay'e penance/for thy/crime". A few dents, otherwise fine.

William Jerram, aged 19, laborer, sentenced to 7 years in the colonies for robbery. Arrived in NSW on 3 November 1828. With research.
