ITALY, Bruttium, Croton (Kroton), (299-281 B.C.), silver diobol (1.14 grams), obv. Athena head right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet, traces of KPOTR above, rev. Herakles standing to left, with lion skin and leaning on club, to right, OIK**ISTAS, D* behind, (cf.S.480, SNG Lockett 634, SNG ANS 425, BMC 107, McLean 1724). Some surface roughness, otherwise fine/very fine and scarce.
