GAUL, Massalia (as a Colony founded by the Phokaians), (200-150 B.C.), silver drachm, (2.64 grams), obv. head of Artemis to right, bow and quiver at shoulder, dotted border, rev. lion standing left, above **MASSA*, in exergue **AL*, line border, (S.75, cf.De La Tour 1090, SNG Cop. 752-763, SNG Delepierre 65-80). Attractive grey tone, uneven flan, otherwise nearly extremely fine, scarce.
