Ventidius Fronto, obv. laureate head of Nero to left, NERO CAESAR traces around, rev. Emperor facing to left, Tyche with cornucopiae behind, traces of magistrates name around, P VE FRONTONR II VIR, (S.-, BMC 565, Amandry Group XXIII, Lanz BCD Sale 105, lot 478, SNG Cop. 241); another Anonymous coinage, AE quadrans, issued 40-30 B.C., (2.85 grams), obv. dolphin to right, traces of CORINT below, rev. trident within circle, (S.-. BMC 687-8, plate XXIII No.4, SNG Cop. 267, Amandry Anon. series D. obv. 2, rev 5.8 [This Coin p.239],First porous, portrait very good, reverse slightly off centred and fine, rare; second good fine with dirt adhesions and very rare. (2)

Ex BCD Collection [from duplicates], lot includes BCD tickets and photos for second coin. The quadran known from two obverse and five reverse dies. In all Amandry records 16 examples including This Coin, ten in public collections the remainder in BCD collection.
