AUGUSTUS AS OCTAVIAN, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Italy or uncertain mint, issued 29-27 B.C., (3.2 grams), obv. Octavian standing in ornamental slow quadriga to right, holding branch, in exergue IMP CAESAR, rev. Victory draped standing right on prow, holding wreath and palm, (S.458, RIC 264, BMC 617). Slightly off-centre on obverse and reverse, otherwise very fine.
