TRAJAN DECIUS, (A.D. 249-251), gold aureus, Rome mint, (4.65 grams), obv. laureate bust of Trajan Decius to right, around IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG, rev. around ADVENTVS AVG, emperor on horseback to left, (cf.S.2689, RIC 11, C.3). Has been plugged, surface abrasions, otherwise very fine and very rare.
