ANDRONICUS II AND III, (1325-1334), First joint reign, gold hyperpyron (scyphate), issued 1325-1328, obv. bust of the Virgin, within city walls, three dots/K to left, three dots/X to right, rev. Andronicus II and III to left and right with Christ standing between crowning both emperors, (S.2461, Bendall p.108 No.1, and type B, p.135 Num. Circ. June 1961). Small flan, weak in places as usual, otherwise nearly extremely fine and a rare variant.
