PALESTINE, Roman Procurator of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, under Tiberius, (A.D. 26-36), copper prutah, obv. three bound ears of barley, rev. libation ladle and date [year 16 = A.D.29] off flan, (Hendin 113 [$75 US], S.5622). Off centre on reverse, and less so on obverse, has been carefully cleaned, otherwise fine to very fine.
Ex David Hendin and of immense Biblical interest.
