REPUBLIC, Sextus Pompey, (c.45 B.C.), AE As, Spanish or Sicilian mint, obv. laureate head of Janus, MAGN above, (MA ligated), rev. prow to right, PIVS above, IMP below, (S.348, Cr.479/1, Syd.1044a). Attractive dark brown colour, nearly very fine and scarce.
