EGYPT, Alexandria, Domitian, (A.D. 81-96), AE diobol, year 11 = A.D. 91-92 (15.282 grams), obv. Domitian with laureate head to right, around AYT KAI CAP **DOMIT* CEB **G*EPM, rev. Demeter standing to left, holding two ears of corn and long torch, above left L right IA, (cf.S.2852, Datt. 480, Koln -, Milne -). Very fine/good fine and very rare one of finest known.

Ex Charles E. Weber Collection and previously from Platz, 16th March, 1981. This coin is much finer than the only illustrated example in the Dattari Collection in the book of his complete collection of his illustrations coins published as rubbings in 1999.
