THRACE, Tauric Cherronesos, Panticapaeum, (3rd century B.C.), AE 20, (5.040 grams), obv. beardless Pan head to left, wearing ivy leaf, countermarked by twelve-rayed star, rev. lion head to left, sturgeon below, around **PAN*, traces of countermark of bowcase, (S.1701, SNG Stancomb 554, SNG BM 886-889, BMC 23); others similar (6.734 grams and 6.398 grams). Dark green patina, fine - good very fine and scarce. (3)
