NEW SOUTH WALES COLONIAL POLICE FUND ONE POUND STERLING (1816) UNISSUED REMAINDER NOTE CUT HIGH ON BOTTOM CAUSING SLIGHT LOSS OF NOTE, wide left margin, printed on watermarked paper (dated 1813) authorised by Govenor Macquarie 1814 and in 1816, issue printed by G. Howe, Government printer with Sydney Gazette. Unissued form with slight foxing otherwise fine and very rare.

The Police Fund was formed on 1st April 1810 to defray the expenses of gaol and police establishments together with certain other Government works including the orphan fund (see "The Note Issues of the Colonial Police Fund of NSW 1810-1824" by W J D Mira).
