MACEDON, Paroreia, circa 185-168 BC. AE 20 (6.450 grams), obv. laureate head of Zeus to right, rev. eagle standing to left head to right, **PAR* monogram to left, monogram to right, (S.-, cf.AMNG III [P.109, Pl.XXXVI, 27]; SNG Evelpides 1244; SNG Cop.253 var. (monogram in place of torch); cf.Weber 2219). Dark green patina, extremely fine and very rare.
