NEW ZEALAND, Queen Victoria pattern penny 1879 by Joseph Moore, Birmingham (A.399). Mostly red uncirculated and very rare.
Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 38 (lot 634) and previously in the bulk lot purchased by Baldwin at the Shorthouse sale in London in August 1916 (Sotheby). Shorthouse, of Birmingham, was a close friend of Joseph Moore.
