CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 202, Rome mint, (3.50 grams), obv. Laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. Caracalla and Plautilla standing facing each other, clasping right hands, around CONCORDIA FELIX, (cf.S.6794, RIC 124a, RSC 23, BMC 274). Minor flan crack and some weak striking on reverse, otherwise good very fine with traces of mint bloom, scarce.
