CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 216, Rome mint, (3.20 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Serapis standing facing, head left, holding long sceptre and raising hand, around P M TR P XVIIII COS IIII P P, (cf.S.6829, RIC 280c, RSC 348). Lightly toned, good very fine - nearly extremely fine.
