CONSTANTINE I, (A.D. 307-337), AE follis, issued 331, London mint, (2.11 grams), obv. helmeted bust of Roma to left, around, VRBS ROMA, rev. she-wolf standing to left suckling Romulus and Remus, two stars above, in exergue, dot above crescent PLC, (cf.S.16526, RIC 257, B 221). Deep green patina, as struck with a strong portrait.
Ex Spink & Son with ticket. This coin is from the Killingholme hoard, discovered in 1993.
