PELOPONNESOS, Arkadian League, Megalopolis, (320's-c.275 B.C.), silver obol, (0.79 gm), obv. horned head of young Pan to left, I on right, rev. AR monogram of solid form with syrinx below, I to left, (cf.S.2688, BCD 1524 [p.364], BMC 59-61 [p.174], SNG Lockett 2518). Good very fine, very scarce.

Ex BCD Collection and previously from Glendining's London, March 1, 1978 (lot 57 part).
