ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 221, (2.51 grams), obv. laureate head of Elagabalus to right, around IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. around P M TR P IIII COS III P P, Victory hovering left, holding garland in each hand, open skirt, (S.7535, RIC 45, RSC 195a, BMC 251). Deeply toned, nearly extremely fine.
