ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 218-9, (3.10 gm), obv. laureate bust of Elagabalus draped and cuirassed to right, around IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around FIDES EXERCITVS, Fides seated to left holding standard, another behind, (S.7511, RIC 71, RSC 32); AE 23, (6.18 gm), Bithynia, Nicaea mint, obv. laureate head of Elagabalus, rev. three military standards, **NIKAIEWN* between, (RecGen 571); AE 20, Antioch mint, obv. laureate head of Elagabalus right, rev. large S C within wreath ornamented with star at top, **DE* above, eagle below, (BMC 433). Nearly very fine - good very fine, first coin toned with blue highlights, scarce. (3)
