Group of Five: India General Service Medal 1908-35 (EVIIR), - clasp - North West Frontier 1908; 1914 Star, - clasp - 5th Aug.-22nd Nov.1914; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19; Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (GVR type 1 swivelling suspender). 8974 Lc Cpl. J.Watt 1st Bn.Sea.Highrs on first medal, 8274 Cpl. J.Watt. 2/Sea.Highrs on second medal, 8274 Cpl. J.F.Watt. Seaforth on 3rd and 4th medals, 8274 Cpl J.F.Watt. Sea Highrs on last medal. First medal engraved, the rest impressed. Son. Group of Four: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; British War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. First two medals unnamed, H.2653. J.F.Watt. on last two medals. Named medals impressed. Both groups swing mounted and some medals out of correct order, the last group with special bracket attached to mounting bar for fitting in jacket pocket, very fine - good very fine, two groups.

Father: There is a record of British military pension payments from 29May1923 to John Frederick Watt, ex Corporal, 1st Bn Seaforth Highlanders, born 1882, England, to an address in Hobart.

Son: H2653 John Frederick Watt, born 20Jul1924 at Hobart, Tasmania; called up from Reserves for naval duty 13Sep1943; served with HMAS Huon, Lonsdale, Melville and Torrens; demobilized 12Jul1946.
