CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 212, Rome mint, (3.41 g), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Salus seated to left, holding a cornucopiae with a snake coiled around an altar feeding from a patera, around P M TR P XV COS III PP, (S.-, RIC 196, RSC 206). Toned, extremely fine.
