CALABRIA, Tarentum, (c.240-228 B.C.), silver nomos [stater], (6.20 g), Olympis, magistrate, obv. Hippokontist on horseback right, hurling javelin, wreath to left, **OLUMPIS* below, rev. Phalanthos riding dolphin left, holding kantharos and cornucopia, tripod to right, T A**RAS* below, (S.378, Vlasto 942, HN Italy 1055, BMC 274-5). Good very fine with attractive light grey toning with irridescent hues.
