AUSTRALIA, post WWII, Australian Army General's peaked No.1 dress cap, dark blue wool with scarlet red cap band and piping, to the black leather peak a double row of gilt bullion oak leaves, post 1953 Queen's crown bullion general officer's cap badge, black leather chin strap with gilt anodised side buttons, brown leather sweatband and oilcloth covered lining, marked on the inside liner 'D D' 1952. Light moth grazing to the cap band, otherwise very fine.
