OCTAVIAN, (30-29 B.C.), silver denarius, uncertain Italian mint (probably Brundisium or Rome), (3.20 g), obv. Octavian head bare to right, in linear circle, rev. [IMP CAESAR] on architrave of arch, surmounted by facing quadriga bearing Octavian, (S.1558, RIC 267, RSC 123, BMC 624). Very good - nearly fine and rare.

Ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from M.R.Roberts retail sale in packet described.
