TITUS, Divus Vespasian, (80-81 A.D.), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (2.87 g), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right around DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS outwards, rev. SC on shield, supported by two capricorns, below a globe, (S.2569, RSC 497 (Vespasian), BMC 129, RIC 63); another, Rome Mint, (3.59 g), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right around DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS outwards, rev. EX in field, SC on round shield set on column on which there is an urn, a laurel branch on each side, (S.2568, RSC 149 (Vespasian), BMC 125, RIC 62). Both fine - very fine, scarce. (2)

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 107 (lot 3722) and also coming from an old Hungarian collection.
