ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), posthumous issue, silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 162, (3.28 g), obv. DIVVS ANTONINVS, bare head, to right of Antoninus Pius, rev. CONSECRATIO around, eagle standing on right head to left, (S.5190, RIC 429, RSC 154). Lightly toned, nearly very fine and very scarce.

Ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from M.R.Roberts retail sale in packet described.
