PUPIENUS, (238 A.D.), silver antoninianus, Rome Mint, (5.11 g), obv. Radiate bust to right of Pupienus draped and cuirassed seen from behind, around IMP CAES M CLOD PVPIENVS AVG, rev. AMOR MVTVVS AVGG around, two clasped hands, (S.8517, RIC 9a, BMC 77-79, C.1). Extremely fine and very rare.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 107 (lot 3852) and also coming from an old Hungarian collection.
