BALBINUS, (238 A.D.), silver denarius, (2.71 g), obv. IMP C D CAEL BALBINVS AVG, laureate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Balbinus, rev. IOVI CONSERVATORI Jupiter standing left holding thunderbolt and sceptre (S.8487, RSC 8, RIC 2, BMC 22). Good very fine with original hoard patina, rare.

Ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 106 (lot 3558).
