AEMILIAN, (253 A.D.), silver antoninianus, Rome Mint, (3.70 g), obv. Radiate bust to right of Aemilian, draped and cuirassed, around IMP AEMILIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. IOVI CONSERVAT around, Jupiter standing to right extending right hand, with hanging cloak, over Aemilian, holding thunderbolt and sceptre, (S.9833, RIC 4, C.16). Minor spots on reverse, some mint bloom, extremely fine and rare.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 107 (lot 3903) and also coming from an old Hungarian collection.
