MARINIANA, wife of Valerian I, (c.253-260 A.D.), base silver antoninianus, Rome Mint, (3.09 g), obv. Diademed and veiled bust, draped to right of Mariniana, all on crescent, around DIVAE MARINIANAE, rev. CONSECRATIO, around, peacock standing facing head to left, tail in splendour, (S.10067, RIC 3, C.3, Cunetio Hoard 646 [22 spec.]). Lightly toned, good very fine and rare.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 107 (lot 3908) and also coming from an old Hungarian collection.
