MARINIANA, wife of Valerian I (c.253-260 A.D.), base silver antoninianus, Rome Mint, (3.74 g), obv.Diademed and veiled bust, draped to right of Mariniana, all on crescent, around DIVAE MARINIANAE, rev. CONSECRATIO, around, peacock standing facing head to right, tail in splendour, (S.10068, RIC 4, C.4, Cunetio Hoard 647 [1 spec.]). Toned, very fine, rare.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 107 (lot 3910) and also coming from an old Hungarian collection.
