Syria, kings of, Seleukos I, (312-280 B.C.), AE 15 (2.71 g), Antioch mint, obv. winged head of a Medusa to right, with the features of Alexander, rev. **BASILEWS* above, **SELEUKOU* in exergue, bull butting right, (cf.S.6852, SC 22.1; SNG Spaer 23, Houghton, CSE, 9, HGC 9, 107c) (illustrated); another Antiochos XII, Dionysos, (87/6-83/2 B.C.), AE 17, (3.36 g), Damaskos mint, struck 87-86/5 B.C., obv. diademed head to right, rev. Apollo standing left, holding laurel branch and resting elbow on tripod to right; monogram to left, (S.7200, SC 2477; HGC 9, 1331). Very fine or better, last with some hoard patina, both in flips with collector descriptions. (2)
