Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochos III Megas, (222-187 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.42 g), Antioch on the Orontes Mint, obv. head of Antiochus III to right, with diadem, fillet border, rev. Apollo seated to left, on omphalos, holding arrow and resting on bow, to right **BASILEWS*, to left ANTI OXOY, monograms **UX/WR, W* inverted to left, (S.6934 var., SC 1041.2, HGC 9, 447u, WSM 1045). Edge or chisel cut, some surface roughness, otherwise very fine and a scarce variety.
