EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II Philadelphos, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (11.98 g), Alexandria mint, struck 261-252, obv. diademed and veiled head of Arsinoe to right with ram's horn, lotus-tipped sceptre over shoulder, (B) behind head, rev. eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt, X between legs, around **ARSINOHS FILADELFOU*, (cf.S.7777, Svoronos 429, SNG Cop 139). Toned, very fine and very scarce.
