COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), copper As, issued 192 A.D., Rome Mint, (10.39 g), obv. head to r. of Commodus in lion skin, around [L AEL] AVREL COMM AVG [P FEL], rev. HER CVL/ROM AN/AV GV/S C, divided by a club downwards all in a wreath, (S.5864, RIC 644, BMC 725 (Pl.111,6), C.193). Attractive green toning, nearly very fine and rare.
