CHARLES I, silver Royalist counter (27mm), struck c1630 in imitation of engraving, probably by Simon de Passe, (2.67 g), obverse, conjoined busts of Charles I and Henrietta Maria (his queen) to right, reverse, conjoined crowned shields of England and France within a wreath, (MI 378/279). Toned, fine and scarce.
