SICILY, Syracuse, (c.450-439 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.26 g), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning charioteer, rev. **SURAKOSION* around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair bound with cord wound around four times forming an elongated coiffure, four dolphins around, (cf.S.933, Boehringer 666 [same dies obverse 337/reverse 455], Pozzi 588 [same dies]). Toned, very fine and rare.
