MOESIA INFERIOR, Tomis, Severus Alexander, (A.D. 222-235), AE 25, (10.79 g), obv. Severus Alexander laureate draped and cuirassed bust right, around AVT K MAP CEY A**LEXANDPO*C, rev. Zeus seated to left, holding patera and long sceptre, around **MHTROPO N TOUTO, MEW*C in exergue, (S.-, cf.BMC 39, SNG Munich -, AMNG 3145, Mion. Vol.2 Sup., No.807 [p.196]). Dark patina, nearly very fine, weak in places and very rare for this reverse.
